Control Tower

The US Airmans Certificate

Airmans Certificate

  • Private Pilot License 
  • Must  acquire 40 hours of logged flight time by an FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
  • Pass an FAA written test 
  • Pass an FAA oral test 
  • Pass an FAA check ride with an FAA Certified Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) 
  • Pass an FAA third class medical exam
  • Must be 16yrs old to take your first solo flight  (which is a must requirement) 
  • Must be 17yrs old to take tests and be qualified for Airmans Certificate 



Remote Pilot Certificate

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Be in physical and mental condition to safely operate a drone
  •  Pass the FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge Test

Ground School

Classroom Instruction or via Zoom 


Aerodynamics, Aircraft Systems ,Airport Operations, Airport Traffic Control, Communications, Airspace Perimeters , Meteorology Weight and Balance , Maps , Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations

  • Written Test Prep 

Flight Lessons

Youth aviators will be transported to Republic Airport in Farmingdale, Long Island. There they will experience actual hands on flight. They will have lessons in a Cessna 172- G1000, Single engine 4 seater plane.
