Mission
To put youth in a position to achieve their
Airmans Certificate (Private Pilot License)
This achievement will place our young men and women in a superior position to be marketable in an industry that is in need.

Academy Operations
- Hours 8-4pm
- Winter & Summer sessions
- Ages 13-18
- *Weather permitting
- Ground lessons done via ZOOM on scheduled days
- Flight lessons are logged and conducted by FAA Certified Flight Instructors.
- Flight lessons at Republic Airport in Farmingdale LI.
- Logbooks supplied to each youth
- Flights are scheduled via our new mobile APP
- Transportation is provided to and from Airport from assigned pickup and drop off locations.
*Each youth will be imputed and given access to the UYA app with scheduled flight notifications and latest program updates.
Winter Session (weekends)
- Sept-May
- Flight lessons are conducted on alternating weekends (weather permitting)
- Ground lessons via Zoom
- UYA sweatshirt
Summer Session (weekdays)
- July-August
- Flight lessons are conducted on alternating weekdays (weather permitting)
- Ground lessons via Zoom
- UYA T-shirts
